Although he did not score any touchdowns, he boasted an impressive QB rating of 97.9 when targeted. Furthermore, Kraft proved himself to be a valuable asset as a blocker, only allowing one pressure and no sacks.

Kraft’s sophomore year in 2021 proved to be a breakout season for the athlete, where he played in 15 games and established himself as a force to be reckoned with. He made an astonishing 65 catches for a total of 770 yards, with an average of 11.8 yards per catch and 6 touchdowns. Tucker Kraft DRAFT PROFILE

Despite attending a smaller school, Tucker Kraft possesses top-tier physical traits that make him a valuable asset on the football field. With his excellent size and well-built physique, Kraft is a versatile player who can line up in various positions, including in-line, in the slot, and outside. He plays a crucial role in both the running and passing game and is an exceptional athlete for his size, showcasing impressive speed, fluidity, and short-area quickness.

Kraft’s talent as a receiver is evident in his body control and ball skills. He is a strong and physical runner who is difficult to tackle after the catch. However, he is an average route-runner, and his strengths lie in short and quick routes that allow him to use his athletic ability to make things happen. Although he has above-average hands, he does have some concerns with drops.

As a blocker, Kraft is a willing player who demonstrates power at the point of attack when he wins the leverage game early. While he has strength and effort, he must improve his pad level and hand placement. However, his potential as a plus player in the run game is evident, and he will only improve at the next level.

He has the potential to be a complete tight end, with the athleticism to be a high-volume pass target who can make plays on his own, thanks to his run instincts and strength. Moreover, he is a solid run blocker and will only continue to improve with more experience.

Although many may discount his skills due to his school, don’t forget that this is the same college that Dallas Goedert attended.

SCOUTING REPORT- Weaknesses

Although Tucker Kraft possesses the athleticism to be a catch-and-run threat, he has struggled with catching, gathering, and transitioning to a runner. This weakness in his game has prevented him from fully showcasing his potential as a receiver.

Kraft’s high cut frame and limited power in his hands have also hindered his blocking abilities, preventing him from achieving a top blocking grade. Despite his impressive athleticism, Kraft is not known for overwhelming opposing defensive backs with speed and agility.

Furthermore, Kraft’s lack of elite suddenness and average size make it challenging for him to stand out on the field. While he is not a burner, he does have the potential to become a more formidable presence on the field with continued development and experience.
